Matthew Schneider, 42, of Allentown, died on Sept. 30 at St. Luke's Hospital after fighting unspecified complications of COVID-19, according to his obituary.
Born in Woodhaven, NY, Schneider leaves behind his wife of 18 years, Sabrina, and their three children, Aaron, Aydan, and Kaitlyn, his obit says.
Nearly $4,000 had been donated to his family's GoFundMe page as of Dec. 1.
"He was a devoted husband, son, brother, and father to three awesome kids," the page's founder Christina Moretz wrote.
Schneider also worked as a Logistics Administrator for Behr Process Corp and coached youth baseball and basketball, according to his obit.
Funeral services were held on Oct. 11 at Trexler Funeral Home in Allentown.
